Keys

The deck of seventy-eight cards includes the twenty-two Keys, traditionally depicted as the Major Arcana. The Keys tell the story of the human spiritual journey. Each card from 0 through 21 is designed to portray a significant milestone on the universal quest for enlightenment, or at least to answer some of life’s more fundamental questions. They incorporate archetypes that  are both universally applicable as well as unique to each individual. Archetypes are the product of the collective thoughts and beliefs of everyone who ever was or who will ever be. Archetypes are familiar signposts on our journey through the collective consciousness. Who
 does not cringe at the thought of the wicked
stepmother or feel sorrow at the plight of the star crossed lovers? Key 17, Meditation is a link to our higher selves. Key 19, Illumination is the liberation of the spirit. Key 13, Transition represents passages in our lives and Key 11, Karma symbolizes the balance in the universe.
