The Elements are comprised of four suits; Fire, Water, Air, and Earth. Each suit is numbered from One to Ten and includes a family unit.
Fire is symbolized by the color red. Each of the fire cards are surrounded by a red border. They represent energy, strength, authority and ambition. Water is symbolized by the color blue. Each of the water cards is framed by a blue border. The nature of water is illusive. It represents all emotions. It washes and cleanses. Air is symbolized by the color yellow and each air card has a corresponding yellow border. Air rules the mind, the intellect, abstract thought, and knowledge. Earth cards can be identified by their green borders.
The earth cards represent growth, stability, abundance, patience, strength, and endurance.
Within each of the four Elements there is a family unit of Child, Youth, Mother and Father. The Child represents the Element expressed in its infancy. It is the awakening of the attributes of the Element. The Youth personifies the energy of adolescence within each Element. It is the expression of passion, emotion, thought and devotion before it has the opportunity to mature. The Mother characterizes the matured Element in the reflective nature of the
feminine. Her character is influenced by the subconscious, intuitive and emotional psyche. The Father characterizes the matured element in the active nature of the masculine. His character is influenced by the conscious, logical and physical psyche
